Here are a few products that are not really talked about as much that I think are still really great items to have in your makeup bag.

NYX Mineral "Set It & Don't Fret It" Matte Finishing Powder

NYX is my favorite drugstore makeup brand so I always thought about trying this product. If anyone is new to the term 'baking' or 'cooking' your makeup I would recommend to try this first before going to other more expensive brands. Baking refers to letting your translucent powder sit on your face from five to ten minutes allowing the heat from your face to set the powder to your foundation or concealer and after dusting it off your face. It technique became really popular after Kim Kardashian admitted to doing it. Only thing I would say is don't put too much because it can come off as achy. A little goes a long way.

 

 

Bare Minerals Lash Domination Mascara

 Sephora, $19

 

I first tried this mascara out after receiving it as a free gift with my Sephora package and it became one of the best makeup discoveries I've ever encountered. It does a great job of separating your lashes evenly and coating them without heavy clumping. It's just perfect and surprisingly not that bad of a price.

 

NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray

CVS, $7.99

 

Okay I really have to compare this one to the Urban Decay setting spray but this is a cheaper and affordable alternative to it. They have both matte and dewy finishing sprays depending on what you want but It really surprised me how good this is without breaking the bank.

 

Glam Glow SuperMud Clearing Treatment

Sephora, $69

 

I first tired this mask after receiving it as a free gift from my public relations internship and I completely got hooked! There's six different types of facial treatments to choose from. They came out with an exclusive Sonic the Hedgehog blue colored firming mask which they only had 1,000 made for the public. A little of the pricey side but its definitely worth it. I have had mine for at least 3 months and I use it once a week.
