How To | My Braid Out Routine

Hey Everyone!
I'm going to show you how to get this BOMB braid out. I just started doing braid outs a couple of week ago and I feel like I've already mastered how to do them perfectly every time. Lately, I haven't feeling my wash & go's, not sure if my hair is just going through a phase or something. My hair has been really moisturized and defined with this braid out routine I've been doing.

Same as my wash & go's, I like to use the LOC (leave-in, oil, cream) method to properly define and moisturize my hair while it's in this hairstyle. I typically like to keep my braid out's in for about four days before I take them out.

Eden Bodyworks Leave-in Conditioner, $7.22- Love this leave-in, I've mentioned it multiple times on my blog. It's moisturizing, smells good & defines my curls, I couldn't ask for a better product.

Almond Oil- You can really use any oil you want. I researched and saw that almond oil was a good oil for my hair type and was recommended it by some of my friends. I didn't realize how good it smelled, it smells like cookies (lol). It seals in the moisture from my leave-in conditioner really well.

As I am Twist Defining Cream, $12.99- I mentioned this in my February Favorites post. My co-worker told me to try and I love it. I was worried about it at first when I first used it because it left a weird residue on my hair when I was layering my products. But I guess it was normal since when my hair dried it left no residue. It defined my braid out SO well, I love it.

I divided my hair into four sections. Each section I divided in half. I had eight sections and made two braids in each section so I had 16 braids in total. The more braids you add, the more define your braid out will be.

After every section was braided, I put a hair tie on the ends of them and curled them. You can also put rollers at the end of your hair to make sure it curls.

Make sure your hair is COMPLETELY dry when you take the braids out the next day. Sometimes I have to but my blow dryer on a cool setting and just leave it on my hair to make sure it dries faster.

The next morning, I rubbed the same almond oil (or whatever oil you want to use) in my hands and carefully took out each braid trying to avoid extra frizz. I separate each curl and fluff it with a wide tooth comb to make my hair bigger.
And there was my finished look, I hope you all try this method and hopefully It works for you. It's really easy and simple. Anyone can do this style, especially those who are transitioning or curl pattern isn't consistent. This will make defined curls. Do you do braid outs? What products do you use? Let me know in the comments below, I would love to try!

xo, Ash
