Easter Brunchin'

So I went out for Easter Brunch with my boss. It's very rare that someone is like great friends with their boss, I know. We had a great time catching up and got some drinks and great food. You can probably tell I had maybe one mimosa too much in the pictures.

This was actually my first weekend off in a while. Recently, I've been really overwhelmed with school, family, my non-existent love life (lol), and other personal issues. This weekend off was very much needed. It's really important to take some time to yourself or time to hang with your friends. Also, It was a nice little transition into spring break and into April. My birthday is around the corner!

Yes, I'm currently on spring break right now. But its not much of a spring break for me, I recently got accepted and will be participating in a mentoring program over my break. Pretty much you write an essay and get recommendation letters and if you're accepted, the program will match you up to a mentor in the field you study. I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet people and show them what I do. I would love to be on someones beach sipping a drink, but my work is never done of course. I'll be documenting my week long mentoring program, I hope I meet some great people and learn informative tips on the communications field.

Here in NYC its also about 45-50 degrees everyday lately, some lovely weather April we're having. Last year for Easter, it was 80 degrees. :(

I recently bought this dress from Naked Wardrobe, it was actually my first time buying from their website. I have them on instagram and I'm obsessed with their clothes and whole aesthetic. Very neutral and simple Kim K-esque vibes. I paired with with this best I bought at Nordstrom. I really needed a belt badly for this dress, it looks like the dress is wearing you without the cinching waist. It was a last minute buy.

Hope all is well with everyone. Remember to take breaks when they're needed. I feel like I always take on so much more than I can do and I have to remember that I'm only one person. I'm about to be 23 in about a week and I need to enjoy the moment and the journey that I'm in. *cue Drake's 'God's Plan'*.
