April 2018 Favs!
Happy May Everyone!
Now that April has come to an end, I can finally chill and little with the birthday events and get back into finishing the semester strong. Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes, I really appreciate it. I have SO MANY new products I've gotten for my birthday, from BeautyCon and from interning at L'Oreal during my spring break.
I'm also studying abroad in London this summer for a month. I'm leaving June 6th and I'm super excited but nervous! I received enough scholarship money for my trip and I couldn't be any happier and blessed. So you know there will be weekly blog posts of my trip to London coming very soon! Here were my favorite products during the month of April.
I gravitated towards this cleanser because it is geared towards people with sensitive skin and my skin has been going crazy from the changing weather here in NYC. I really like it, I feel like it really gets in my skin especially when I use it with my Vanity Planet spin brush from my February Favorites post. It really gets into my skin to deeply cleanse it. Its really gentle and feels like a creamy lotion too. I recommend it for anyone with sensitive skin like mine.
I recently interned for a week during my spring break at L'Oreal HQ in NYC and I actually saw them edit the commercial that would be airing soon with this scrub. It has actual real kiwi seeds in it and I thought that was so cool. When I tried it, I washed my face as usual and applied the scrub in circular motions on my face. It also has a warming sensation which makes you feel like its getting in your skin.
I've noticed this lipstick for a while now. This is the PERFECT nude for my skin tone. Its a nice everyday color and think this color would look nice on everyone.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Veronica, $20
I got this liquid lipstick at the Anastasia Beverly Hills booth at BeautyCon which I made a post about my experience. I had such a great time. Everything was on sale at the ABH booth. the liquid lipsticks were 40% off so I couldn't pass that up! Veronica was the perfect mauve purple shade for me. I also paired it with my MAC Lip Pencil in Soar, perfect combination.
I got this in an IPSY bag a couple months ago and wanted to try it because in my 20's, I have started to focusing on anti-aging since I'm getting older. I randomly saw it in my bathroom with the piles of products I have yet to try. It's a really nice scrub. Over time, I noticed its tightened my under eye area a little. I use the mini version after I cleanse my face and then after tone & moisturize.
I've heard SO many great things of this night serum. I recently started using night oils and I think everyone should start too. I originally saw it featured on YouTube from the GlamTwinz334 and they use it and have oily skin so it can work on all skin types. Kiehl's is one of my favorite skincare brands. I know it can be kinda pricey, but it works. I use the oil after I apply my moisturizer and pat it into my skin. A little goes a long way so you will have the oil for a while.
It claims it visibly restores skin's appearance in the morning which it does. My skin is noticeably soft in the morning. It's also a brightening agent helps with hyperpigmentation if that's an issue you have.
I also got the mini size of this cream in an IPSY bag. This is now my new favorite moisturizer. It's really gentle, doesn't feel drying and works well with the other skincare products I use on my face. I also like this moisturizer as a nice base before I apply my primer if I'm putting on makeup.
What have you guys been loving during the month of April? Do you have any recommendations? Let me know!
xo, Ash
