July 2018 Favs!

Hey Everyone!

So every since I came back from Europe, I've been completely in working mode! I went back to work two days after I came back from London and I've just been grinding, trying to make back every penny I spent out there.

There will be a ton of new content soon, I'm sorry it's been a little slow. Once I make every cent back, I can start living my best life again. Some blog posts that are coming up soon are my summer essentials, my favorite curly hair stylers, my favorite conditioners and maybe how I decided I wanted to study abroad & the process? I have soooo many new posts and plans coming soon! Just stay tuned. Let me know what you want to see.

Anyway, these are some of the products I've been loving for the month of July. I can't believe it's about to be August in a few days which means back to classes :(. Thankfully this is my last year and I'll be done very soon!

My July 2018 Favs!

This is one of the BEST highlighters I've ever bought. I feel like everyone has Champagne Pop or has heard of it so it's really not much to say. If you've never heard it, now you know. If you've never bought it, you need to buy now. It gives you the most luminous and natural highlight, perfect for when the sun hits your face just right for the perfect selfie. Thank me later.

I was surprised YouTuber Jackie Aina gave my friend and I a bag of full size Urban Decay products when we went to BeautyCon NYC this year! I've heard so many great things about this spray so when we got a full sized for free, I was super excited to try! It leaves such a nice and natural finish for any makeup. I don't wear a lot of makeup in the summer, but when I use this, it leaves a natural finish that looks perfect any time of the day.

So we gotta make sure our skin is exfoliated and clear all summer long. I like to use natural products for my skin only because I have really sensitive skin. I went into LUSH which is one of my favorite stores to find all my natural toiletries. I was introduced to 'rub rub rub' after I expressed my concern for getting rid of 'back acne' and lighting up my dark spots. The lady who helped me in LUSH also told me to top it with the Mask of Magnaminty, which I love and I've used before. I forgot it could be used as a body mask. It left my skin so smooth and hydrated.

Okay so DevaCurl, we all know it's super expensive. But it works sooo well for my hair! I usually can find DevaCurl at a big department store, specifically Macy's Backstage which is their outlet store. DevaCurl is always up to half off so when I catch it there I have to buy it. This Light Defining Gel defines my curls so well, I've been using it all the time. Especially paired with the DevaCurl B'leave In, it just makes my curls so plump, defined and moisturized.

I've been dealing with dark spots on my skin for a while now, I wanted something that would fade the dark spots away. So I won this at BeautyCon back in April from the Target display. I've gotten around 3 uses out of this small mask packet so far (a little goes a long way!). It makes my skin feel really smooth and by the morning my skin looks alive and awake.

This is a new product I recently tried. I'm still not done using everything I got from BeautyCon, it's gonna take forever to use everything. But I thought I try this because I like the look of elongated curls and it did just that! I was super surprised eat the results because my hair usually shrinks a lot when I wash it typically. After I moisturized, oiled and styled my hair using this pudding, I didn't even have to stretch out the curl. I recommend for anyone to try it if they're struggling with shrinkage.

Another new product I tried, I'm cowashing ALL SUMMER '18! No heat whatsoever, it's way too hot for that. I've been suing my Eden Bodyworks Coconut Cowash, I love it! Besides it being one of my favorite natural hair brands, this co wash has so much slip, it was very easy to detangle my hair in the shower. It was also a great way to cleanse my hair strands and scalp without it feely dry afterward.

I hope you guys enjoyed my July 2018 Favorites. Leave a comment below on what you've tried or will be trying. Also, let me know what else you'd like to see. Hope your summer is going well.

xo, Ash
